BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) — A total of 14,932 COVID-19 cases were reported in Argentina in the last 24 hours, taking the national count to 931,967, the country’s Health Ministry said Wednesday.
Meanwhile, 350 more deaths were registered, bringing the nationwide tally to 24,921, the ministry said.
Buenos Aires Province, the largest in the South American country, has so far registered 480,494 infections, remaining the worst hit among all provinces.
According to health authorities, the occupancy rate of intensive care beds stands at 64.1 percent nationwide.
Argentina has maintained a mandatory quarantine since March 20 in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, a measure that will extend until Oct. 25.
