SUZHOU, China, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) — Beijing Renhe have been relegated from China League One, the second-tier league, after slumping to a 1-1 draw with Jiangxi Liansheng in the second leg of relegation battle on Saturday.
Renhe needed a win to advance after lost the first-leg match 2-1. Liu Xinyu was at his best and hit a header for Renhe in the 16th minute, levelling the scoreline before leaving the pitch with muscle injury in the 38th minutes.
Liansheng answered in the 24th minute as Brazilian forward Eder Lima equalized 1-1 by a right-side free kick.
Renhe’s Liu Jian came close to a goal in 76th minute but was denied by Liansheng keeper Zhu Jiaqi’s well reaction and that was enough for Liansheng to survive.
